CONSTRUCTION:
The Frame & Gantry:
The frame is built from heavy-duty T-slotted aluminum extrusions. With its complex cross-section, this material is not only stronger then steel, it delivers on accuracy – there’s no bowing or warping.
The frame’s construction and the design of the extrusions eliminate vibration. Every extrusion is designed with a 2° Drop-Lock feature, a 2° decline of the T-slot flange. When a fastener is tightened to the necessary torque, the flange flexes up to the adjoining profile, creating pressure, which prevents the fasteners from vibrating loose.
The Drive System:
We’ve built these machines to last a lifetime! Our rack-and-pinion drive system incorporates two 1.8° stepper motors that represent the industry’s best combination of speed, power and reliability. We use only the highest-quality cabling and one of the largest steel gear racks in the industry.
All of our tables incorporate case-hardened shafting. We use 1” diameter shaft on the x-axis and dual ¾” diameter shafts on the y-axis. We’ve teamed these with Thomson super ball bushing linear bearings to give you accuracy and dependability that is unmatched in the industry.
ELECTRONICS:
The Electronic Machine Controller:
We designed this controller specifically for HVAC plasma tables and to deliver seamless integration with EC Maker. It’s Microsoft Windows-based and can be driven via a mouse or a touch screen.

Power Supply:
Each of our plasma tables comes standard with a 60-amp Hypertherm® plasma power supply. Hypertherm is the undisputed industry leader, and meets the demanding quality standards that we require for our machines. Do you cut thicker plates on a regular basis? Just let us know, and we’ll upgrade your power supply to 80 or 100 amps. Every power supply we sell carries a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Computers:
All of our plasma tables come standard with not only an industrial machine-side computer, but also an office computer so you can run the EC Maker fitting software in the office and download your jobs electronically to the plasma table. Office computers come standard with Windows XP Professional, a 17” monitor, and two printer ports for attaching a report printer and a label printer.
Acoustic Lining:
We offer the EC Series 2000 as an acoustic liner cutter and as a combination machine allowing you to cut metal and liner on the same machine without having to change any mechanical parts. You simply create the job in EC Maker, tell it if the fittings should be lined or unlined, and the metal and liner are automatically nested to the correct material. If you downloaded a liner job, the router head drops to cut the liner; if you downloaded a metal job, the torch drops and cuts out the metal. It’s that simple!

- Input individual fittings or pick-off entire drawings electronically from EC CAD.
- Maker is specification-driven and comes preloaded with rectangular, round, and oval fittings.
- Maker offers four different kinds of nesting to save you money on material.
- Maker has a full set of industry-standard reports, customizable reports, and can generate 3D labels with barcoding.
- Maker can download fittings to multiple cutters simultaneously and can download straight duct directly to your coil line. Most cutters and coil lines are compatible.
